Memorial Day - May 29
Solid Waste Collection will be closed on Monday, May 29, in observance of Memorial Day. Refuse, recycling and yard waste collection will be one day late all week (except for downtown night routes which remain on regular schedule).

My Spokane 311
My Spokane 311 is the new centralized customer service department for the City of Spokane. My Spokane 311 customer service representatives can be reached by phone, on the internet or in person to help with your solid waste services. If they are unable to answer your question, they know the right person to contact who does.

My Spokane will be closed on Memorial Day. Normally representatives can be reached by calling 311, Monday-Friday 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. If you are outside the city limits, dial 755.CITY (2489). Representatives can also be reached online at MySpokane311.org or by email at my311@spokanecity.org. You can visit a My Spokane 311 representative in person at City Hall every Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.


Household Hazardous Waste

On November 17, 2014, the City of Spokane transferred ownership of the Valley and North County (Colbert) Transfer Stations to the Spokane County. The City of Spokane continues to own and operate the Waste to Energy Facility in the West Plains area. You can continue taking your solid waste to all 3 locations regardless of where you live. 


RESIDENTIAL HAZARDOUS WASTE.  Wondering what to do with your household hazardous waste? There are three convenient sites for you to drop off your items.

COMMERCIAL HAZARDOUS WATE.  If you have questions on what to do with your commercial hazardous waste, please call the Hazardous Waste Office at 509.625.7898.  Commercial hazardous waste is NOT ACCEPTED as part of the Household Hazardous Waste program.
